Currently in Chicago the weather is being incredibly bipolar, and as spring is supposedly approaching (despite the most recent blizzard that attacked the city), we have had many in-between days when the weather can't seem to make up its mind--too cold for dresses and too warm for thigh-high boots! The solution? Layers and cut-out boots~
Although admittedly a bit skeptical at first to the practical side of boots with missing panels, these beauties gifted to me by Zappos have quickly "cut-out" a place in my heart! Not only are they incredibly aesthetically pleasing, but they transgress through the seasonal cycle (or in my case, the endless winter)! As someone who lives in her boots, I love that I can now finally continue to wear boots through the summer without melting and then just add thick socks to make them winter-appropriate! #happiness
And now I've teamed up with my friends at Zappos to help bring these babies to your closet! Below are a few of my favorite cut-out boots from their collections (links under photo):
ONE: Steve Madded Cinch // TWO: Wanted Stoli // THREE: FreeBird Stone // FOUR: Call it Spring Limato// FIVE: Circus by Sam Edelman Hayden// SIX: Belle by Sigerson Morrison Demetra
Oh! And mine (which are now on sale too!) are here: Seychelles Scoundrel!
Aren't they beautiful!? Ankle, cut-out boots are definitely making a stride in contemporary fashion and you can be sure that you'll be seeing their appearance on my blog quite a bit~
What are your thoughts on cut-outs? Which pair is your favorite?
