Now that some of the world's top fashion bloggers are shooting in Morocco, I decided that it was about time to dust off a few photos from our trip there last summer and join in on the fun. Taking advantage of the tropical look of the hotel we stayed in at Fez, Morocco and wearing Zara head to toe (well, minus my headscarf) I decided why not try to emulate one of my favorite Zara campaigns--their SS14 line photographed by the incredibly talented Patrick Demarchelier.
I have a fairly strong palette in my wardrobe that I typically don't stray from (I don't own anything/own very little of purple, yellow, red, orange, green, etc) so when I first put this look together I felt a bit out of my comfort zone, as these are the first pair of baggy pastel orange pants that I've ever worn (well, first orange piece in my closet in general!) and was a bit confused on how to wear my impulse purchase. But hey, being covered in powder pastels made from paper-thin fabrics is a great way to stay cool without needing to show skin.
Because the gardens at the Zalagh Centre Ville hotel was too much fun to play in, we have a part II of this shoot--same look, completely different feel (well, at least I think so!). Those should be up this Thursday.
