Announcing our 2nd JooJoo Azad internship for Fall 2016!
We're also excited to announce that, while strong preference will be given to Chicago-based applicants, we are opening the application for this position to be completed remotely! The JooJoo Azad internship is designed to give young Muslim women the skills, insight, and connections they need to excel in areas of entrepreneurship, journalism, and media. We cannot rely on our oppressors to tell our stories. We must do that ourselves.
All USA-based activist-minded Muslim women who are eligible to work in the USA are encouraged to apply to work with us!
Application deadline is September 5th, 2016 and interviews will take place the following week. The position will begin late September and interns are expected to work a minimum of 15 hours a week for 12 weeks, and after completion of the internship will receive a minimum of $1,000 stipend (with the possibility of earning up to $1,500 over the course of 12 weeks). (Because what are unpaid internships in a capitalistic world, am I right?)

We're also sad to say farewell to Ayesha, our Summer '16 intern, next month, who is now going on to start her own blog and natural soap business! We'll of course share her work when it's live, but can keep up with her on instagram in the meantime!
LOOKING FORWARD TO READING YOUR APPLICATIONS! Deadline is September 5th. Leggo~

While this position is open to people of all backgrounds, religions, and gender identities, we encourage those whose identities most strongly resonates with our work to apply.
