Finally got a bit of practice/fun behind the camera instead of in front of it! So naturally, we bought a pineapple (that's just what you do, right?) and photographed my friend Youssef on the balcony of our beautiful airbnb in Essaouria, Morocco. You already know him from our many shoots together (at the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca or the also-named-Hassan Tower in Rabat) and thought it would be fun to switch places. I think spending a bit of quality time behind the lens is rather refreshing and helps with the next time I am going to be in front of it. Not to mention

I have a small fetish with clean, white surfaces and so this spot was a no-brainier. I don't really know what is going on with the composition, honestly, what with the pineapple and my ukulele-tuned oud, but I'm all about those geometric shadows and potted plants.

Bonus points if you mange to spot our house cat (we named him Gucci) contemplating jumping over the balcony.
(spoiler alert: he didn't)

Also look at me trying to regain your love by posting twice in a row! Is it working??? I wonder if we can shoot for everyday in March? Can we make this happen? Tomorrow jumping back into the Minimal Wardrobe Series! Happy Wednesday! x
